Supporting Mesa Conservation District Financially
Mesa Conservation District is a vital voice for agriculture and conservation in the Grand Valley. We work directly with landowners, producers, and local partners to promote sustainable land management, protect natural resources, and build resilience in our community.
Through partnerships with the USDA-NRCS and others, we offer technical assistance, educational workshops, and public input opportunities that shape conservation programs in our region. Our Local Work Group meetings ensure producers have a say in the direction of federal and local conservation efforts.
Current initiatives include:
Delta- Mesa Colorado Master Irrigator Program – In partnership with Delta Conservation District, we’re helping producers incorporate cutting-edge irrigation efficiency practices while maintaining profitability.
Grand Valley Water Committee – A collaborative effort with 50 local stakeholders to address watershed challenges and improve water resource management.
Educational Workshops and Resources – Covering topics which include: soil health, wildlife habitat, native plants, sustainable crop production, and water-wise landscaping.
These efforts are just a glimpse of the impactful work we’re doing to protect the land, water, and future of Western Colorado.
